About Stephen Mason

Stephen is a thalidomide sufferer with acute dyslexia and left school with no qualifications (apart from the record for the under 12’s one length butterfly!).

Despite Stephen’s challenges, he went onto launch an eclectic mix of successful businesses.

Inbetween running his high profile businesses and driving around the world (on more than one occasion), in 2017 Stephen decided to channel his expertise and drive to helping others.

It was at this point that he made his own life changing decision to dedicate his time to make a real difference to the people that need it most.

Stephen saw a desperate situation with the nation becoming increasingly inactive, unfit and overweight and was inspired to set up The Mason Foundation; a charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities, enabling them to become more active.

This saw the start of The Mason Mile, where communities can walk, jog, stroll or run, together with no pressure, no pre-requisites, no stigma- to do ‘their mile, in their own way’.
